Clarity Dx was founded 17 years ago by respected physician and inventor Thomas Mark Buchanan, MD FACP. Dr. Buchanan’s extensive childhood and adult global travel, top-level scientific research, and years of medical professorship and practice positioned him for exceptional independent research and product development of medical diagnostics.

“My intent from the onset,” Buchanan says, “has been to facilitate accurate home screening for HIV throughout the world. The rampant spread of the virus can be significantly checked through awareness. Self-screening naturally promotes greater responsibility toward protecting both self and others. The First Step© Rapid HIV screen is a powerful potential tool for global health .”

FIRST STEP© HIV rapid home diagnostic screen has emerged as Clarity Dx’s brightest effort, and remains the focus of its continuing research. With working prototypes and U.S. and international patents in hand, CDx has completed the initial phase of development of First Step©. It is now ready for global introduction.

A dynamic team of experienced executives from across the country has been drawn to the promise of this versatile product and it’s potential to make a difference in world health. Clarity Dx takes great pride in its experienced Team, lead by visionary Executive Vice President Joe Boswell. His reach is competently extended by global supply chain expert Scott Rizzo, and continuously forwarded by the meticulous work of regulatory affairs liaison and product developer Chuck Nomides.
